Say it isn't so..

As many of you know, On June 25 Brayden saw a developmental specialist, and at the end of our appointment I told the doctor that I was giving Brayden Nordic naturals children DHA and we really felt like it was working to his advantage with his speech and his sudden jump in vocabulary. She told me that was excellent and that she backed studies using fish oil for children with speech disorders. I asked her if there was anything else that she would or could recommend for us to do and she told me to try a 6 week study of no preservatives and no food dyes in his food.

I'm not going to lie I didn't think it was going to work, I have done so much research and heard that dyes are bad for children with ADHD or autism, which at this time Brayden does not struggle with so I wasn't quite sure on how it was going to benefit him...but

I am here to tell you we are 5 weeks in to our at home study...and

At first just like the DHA we thought "oh it's just a coincidence", but his teachers have seen it as well. He has started putting two words together ex: sidewalk, football, lawn mower, and some others I can't think of right off the top of my head. Along with that his vocabulary has jumped again and he is really trying to mimick what you say, he has always tried but now you can almost understand him.

We are thrilled and just wanted to share our exciting update with everyone!!

I try to say it often, but sometimes I don't feel like it's enough...thank you to everyone who cheers on Brayden's new accomplishments, we truly appreciate it and love all of you!!!

I hope this finds you having a great weekend!!

xoxo,
Alana

  1. I'm so happy for him and you! When I was playing puzzles with him the other day I could understand him and he would try to repeat what I was saying :)
